What did the client request?
The client requested a full overhaul of his superliner interior, replacing every part with a new or reproduction part.
What is unique or complex about the project?
This was a complex job as the interior had already been stripped out and the parts that were left were not in a good way. We had to completely fabric all new boards and panels to support the new interior as well as adding sound proofing and reinforcing’s to support the overhead console.
The customer wanted the interior to look like it would have back in the 80’s but with some more comfort touches, (mainly the carpet floor and the massive amount of sound deadening we fitted).
What were the results of the project?
The customer was ecstatic with the final results. He mentioned that it was miles above the expectations that he had and has just recently taken down to wheels at Wanaka.
Is there any other relevant information?
All materials and boards used are marine grade to minimize damage caused by any moisture getting into the cab.
