What did the client request?
The customer wanted a custom made, formal yet comfortable bench seat with tuck n roll pleats “like an old 1930’s Chevy”.
What is unique or complex about the project?
The seat back rest was over 2.5 mtrs long and keeping the tuck and roll nice and even and tight over this distance was difficult. We also wanted to make it so the pleats were even and didn’t finish on a half pleat either end. We also wanted the pleats to lineup with the joins in the base.
What were the results of the project?
The client was ecstatic with project and loved the comfort of the new foam and the look of the tuck and roll.
This has led to the customer wanting his dining chairs covered to match.
