Register for the 2026 ATA NZ Conference and Trade Show

There’s something pretty special about getting a group of people from the same industry in the same place, at the same time. Ideas get shared, problems get solved, new relationships start, and you suddenly realise that the challenges you’re facing in your business are often the same ones others are working through too.

And in times like these — when business can feel a bit tough, uncertain, or just plain busy — staying connected to your industry is more important than ever. That’s exactly what the ATA NZ Conference & Trade Show is all about.

2026 Theme : Weaving Growth: Building a Stronger Industry Together
This year’s theme reflects who we are as an industry. Every day, our members take raw materials and turn them into real-world solutions and we do it by working together, sharing knowledge, and constantly finding better ways of doing things. The conference is your chance to step away from the day-to-day of the business and spend some time working on the business, not just in it.

A Sneak Peek at 2026
We’re putting together a programme that combines innovation, business improvement, and practical skills, and we’re excited about a couple of the keynote sessions already lined up. One of our keynote sessions will be from the team at Incredible, who work with businesses to build custom systems and tools that simplify operations, reduce admin, and help businesses run more efficiently. This will be a very practical session focused on real-world ways AI and automation can save time and improve how your business operates.

We’ll also be hearing from Shelley Houston from Kiwi Leather Innovations, sharing the story behind developing a new material in New Zealand from waste kiwi fruit — and the journey from idea, to testing, to commercial production. It’s a great example of innovation, thinking differently, and building new opportunities from unexpected places.

Alongside the keynotes, we’re planning:

  • A hands-on fabricator workshop
  • A strong trade show
  • Plenty of networking time
  • And of course, time to catch up with people who understand exactly what you do every day

There will also be optional activities on the Wednesday evening for those arriving early.

Why Come?

  • Because this industry is built on relationships.
  • Because you always come back with at least one idea that makes your business better.
  • Because sometimes the best thing you can do for your business is step away from it for two days.
  • And because it’s actually a really good couple of days.

So mark the dates in your calendar now: 13–14 August 2026, Novotel Rotorua Lakeside.
