The Outstanding Service award was established in 2018 for the purpose of recognising individuals for outstanding service to the association and/or the industry.

This year, Suresh Budhia was nominated to receive this award. Suresh has been part of the industry for over 40 years. He is well known throughout the industry and highly regarded by suppliers and association members alike. He has been a sounding board for other business owners within the industry, involved in training many apprentices with several gaining the prestigious title of apprentice of the year.

He was persistent in getting a job at his first employer, has sat on the Executive over the years and has recently retired. If you haven’t read the May issue of the Cutting Edge, you need to go and read it as there is a story that paints the picture Suresh has had on the industry.

He was surprised and honoured by the award and shared a few stories at the Annual awards. Congratulations Suresh on a well deserved recognition to the industry and on your retirement.
