At the AGM held in Tauranga on 26th August 2023, the members voted to change the association’s name from the Outdoor Fabric Products Association of New Zealand to the Advanced Textiles Association – New Zealand. (ATA-NZ). After 35 years, this change marks a desire to encompass a broader scope within the textiles industry.

In February our Executive discussed many different options and felt like this name change will allow us to be more inclusive and reach out to industry members that might not associate with Outdoor Fabrics.

We have modified our mission and vision statements.
Mission: To work together to advance our businesses and industry.
Vision: The association provides its members with a forum to increase their industry knowledge, develop new skills, share experiences and connect with like-minded companies.

Rebranding to the Advanced Textiles Association – New Zealand will be gradual over the next 12 months.
